In order to increase efficiency of their work, experts and authority of Vladimir Centre of Tare LLC decided to buy and implement new state-of-the-art equipment, namely a 3D-printer, which can be used for making models of designed bottles and other complicated items.

As known, glass tare manufacturing process begins with designing the bottle. This is a very important step, because every manufacturer of alcoholic or soft beverages keens to highlight its production, attract attention of potential buyers and, therefore, increase sales.

Once the rough drawing is completed, the bottle draft is passed to a technologist, who works on a final version of the bottle based on technical peculiarities of its manufacturing. At this stage, the bottle becomes more “technological” and free of elements which can lower its overall quality.

The main advantage of 3D-printing is that the bottle’s model can be produced much faster than it can be done by using usual way. A technical sketch is transformed into a code sent to a 3D-printer, it takes several hours. Then a bottle’s model is printed during a day, and then the printed model is covered with hardening solution. Thus, a customer can get a strict copy of his bottle, which can be easily labeled and supplied with a cap.

It is important also to note that 3D-printing makes the bottle’s model manufacturing process much cheaper than those for Plexiglas and even gypsum.

Practical usage of the ЗD-printer, which is currently used in Vladimir Centre of Tare LLC, is quite simple. This model, which the fastest among other 3D-printers, allows spreading 2 through 4 layers a minute. This printing speed is about 5 times higher than that of other models. Indeed, various complicated models can be printed in hours, not days! Its operating space is quite spacious (254x381x203 mm), thus, it allows printing one big or many small models.

Such a printer should be chosen, if you need a realistic model of an object with many small details, because its printing resolution ( 600х 540 dpi) allows explicit printing thin and fine items with small sophisticated parts. In addition, this printer performs the highest quality color transfer using five printing heads, which provides the most precise color transfer within the wide spectrum range. After all, you can create either monochromic or full-color models.

The software provided with the printer allows you to look at the designed models, add various elements of design, rescale them and so on.

The only inconvenience is that currently produced models exhaustively replicate the shape of the original bottle, but are not transparent. However, technologies go further and further and allow us to hope that we’ll have glassy models soon. Thus, American scientists recently discovered a new way to create glassy objects.

While the currently used 3D-printer produces only non-transparent models, the mentioned method assumes mixing the glass powder and special hardening material, which initially looks like white of the egg, but then causes the transparency effect.

Continuously monitoring the most recent findings in 3D-printing, experts of Vladimir Centre of Tare LLC have a good ground to hope that they will be able to print glassy models soon. ‘Yesterday, we just dreamt about printing glassy models, they said, while today we are waiting for the new hardening powder, which will make our model glassy.’
